Beyond Religion, Philosophy and Science
Understanding and Managing Existence and
Development from the Ground Up and
from the Inside Out
Lecture Presentation
Religion, philosophy and science are
considered and understood as approaches, or ways of understanding and managing existence
and development. Understanding the conditions, demands and challenges of existence and the
world around us, how to deal with and respond to them. Their roots and development, limits
and shortcomings, problematic results and consequences. The direction we need to take in
conceptual and mental development and growth, individually and as a species. To address
the loss of morals, ethics and values, the breakdown of society, community and family, the
loss of focus, purpose and direction in life. To deal with and address persisting and
growing human individual, social and environmental problems and difficulties, we face, we
create and we have to deal with, individually, as societies and as a species, locally and
globally around the world today.
Understanding
and managing existence and development, problems and difficulties from the ground up and
from the inside out. From inside the mind and mental existence, beginning with the
individual, individual mental existence and mental development. The understanding, mental
powers and abilities, mental skills and practices we need to develop, how to develop and
use them. To sustain an expanding global human population in just and equitable ways, on
the limited and finite natural material resources base of the Earth. And not contribute
further to the premature demise, in the long-term, of the human species at its own hands.
